So out of 16 teams, after Saturday’s games we landed the 2nd seed.
We played three games. First game, was a big win 8 to 4. Second game, Ryan came in as a relief pitcher and closed out the game - pitching a solid two innings with a final score of 14 to 10 and advancing us to the championship game in the Cal Ripken field.
Championship game was tough. Ours boys had low energy, had an hard time hitting a fast lefty pitcher and held the game 2 to 0 into the 4th inning where we ultimately fell apart. The 1st seeded team was definitely better and ultimately beat us 9 to 0.
Great closing ceremony for the final championship game- where all kids were announced and received recognition.
I’m so happy I could be part of such a great sports experience with Ryan and his team this weekend. Proud is an understatement. Ryan played well, had fun and had such an amazing baseball experience playing at this stadium. Great group of athletes and families! Hopefully I can download some professional photography from the weekend to keep these memories for Ryan!
